A poem about the beauty of being truly touched by something.
And how I can deeply cherish memories of moments and connections "lost".
I stand here
Naked and bare
Touch me
Please touch me
and swallow me whole
because
I wouldn´t have it any other way
Than for life to chew me up
and throw me back out
Again and again and again
For if living was meant to be shallow
It would not be for me
I long for the ache and tears of goodbye
The memories I get to carry
In my tender, ever breaking heart
Which is bigger than ever before
Limitless capacity to hold
It seems
and so damn alive
